On 6 May 2026, Smarsoo GmbH reached an important milestone: our first full-scale test and demonstration pod was installed at Kranebitter Allee 216, 6020 Innsbruck, Austria.
Its arrival marked more than the delivery of a new modular unit. It signalled the beginning of an extensive real-world testing programme designed to help us refine our products for European climates, applications and customer expectations.
From Alpine Weather to Real-World Data
Laboratory testing provides valuable insights, but true product performance can only be fully understood under real operating conditions.
Located in Innsbruck, surrounded by the demanding Alpine environment, our test pod allows our team to monitor and evaluate several key areas:

During its first three months in Innsbruck, the pod operated through a period of intense summer heat and prolonged solar exposure.
The data and experience collected during this period enabled our team to identify opportunities for further optimisation. We have since introduced a series of targeted upgrades to improve thermal control, energy management, ventilation, material performance and overall indoor comfort.
Every adjustment brings us closer to our goal: creating modular living spaces that are not only visually distinctive, but also comfortable, efficient and better suited to the conditions of the European market.
